Job description

Empath Health is seeking a Desktop Support Administrator is responsible for providing technical support and maintaining desktop and mobile device systems for colleagues within their service area and as needed, across the organization. This position involves installing software and updates, configuring system settings, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. The Desktop Support Administrator responds to incoming ticket requests, calls, and walk-in requests and when needed, travels to other sites to provide on-site, deskside support to the client. In addition, this position will perform service desk functions, on-site functionals tasks, and be available to support clients through participation in on-call rotation.
Must live local with the ability to work on-site and travel between locations as needed.
What you'll Do
  • Applies technical knowledge to support end-users for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices as well as telecom services, email service, and all IT client provided services.
  • Creates and implements solutions to correct and prevent ongoing systems issues, to minimize disruptions to the productivity of the end-user.
  • Performs physical inventory of laptops and other equipment, accessories, and parts to ensure configuration and inventory management database entries are complete and accurate.
  • Participates in on-call rotation.
  • May be required to travel between facilities.

What You'll Need
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer science or related field with 3 or more years of experience in a corporate Information Technology department providing end-user support over a wide range of systems. Or, an equivalent level of education and experience.
  • Microsoft Certification on Office Applications, Windows, 7, 8, and/or 10 strongly preferred.; CompTia A+ Certification strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) reference model.
  • Experience with end-user IT support (e.g., Windows operating systems, PC hardware, antivirus tools. personal firewall tools, web browser, MS Office applications).
  • Must be available for and participate in on-call rotation overnight and weekends.
  • Ability to work on-site and travel between locations as needed. Has a valid active driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
