Cooperates with: Software Development, Enterprise Platforms, Engineering, Sales, IT, Operations, Product Development
Location: Tulsa, OK
Primary Responsibility: Responsible for owning and advancing the organization's data ecosystem by designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions within Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. This role develops data pipelines, creates reliable data models, and delivers analytics-ready datasets that enable business intelligence and reporting across the organization. This role also partners with business stakeholders to define a data roadmap, improve data governance and quality, and identify opportunities to expand data-driven decision-making and analytics capabilities
What You'll Do:
  • Own and manage the organization's data ecosystem within Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
  • Design and maintain scalable data architecture including lake house structures, semantic models, and datasets
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and integrating data from multiple systems
  • Build and optimize enterprise Power BI datasets and reports to support decision-making across the organization
  • Develop and maintain data models that support consistent and reliable analytics
  • Establish and maintain data governance, data quality, and documentation standards
  • Create and maintain a long-term data roadmap aligned with organizational strategy and analytics maturity goals
  • Identify opportunities to expand advanced analytics capabilities such as predictive analytics, self-service BI, and automated insights
  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to understand data needs and prioritize analytics initiatives
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of the data platform
  • Implement best practices for data security, access controls, and compliance
  • Support and enable self-service analytics across departments through standardized datasets and semantic models
  • Understanding of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and tools, including implementing and managing data protection controls within Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and the broader Microsoft ecosystem
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, reports, and platform performance
  • Continuously evaluate new capabilities within Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to improve analytics across the organization

How to Qualify:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or business intelligence development
  • 3+ years working with Microsoft data platforms such as Power BI, Azure, or Microsoft Fabric
  • Microsoft Fabric expertise including Lakehouse architecture, Data Factory pipelines, notebooks, and semantic models
  • Advanced Power BI development including data modeling, DAX, report optimization, and enterprise dataset management
  • Strong SQL proficiency for querying, transformation, and performance optimization
  • Data modeling expertise, including star schema, dimensional modeling, and semantic layer design
  • Experience building and managing data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and orchestration
  • Understanding of modern data architectures, including data lakes, lake houses, and warehouse concepts
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data transformation frameworks
  • Ability to design scalable data platforms that support enterprise analytics and reporting
  • Design and enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to safeguard sensitive data, ensure compliance with organizational standards, and prevent unauthorized data access or sharing across the data platform
  • Experience implementing data governance and data quality practices
  • Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts and KPI development
  • Experience integrating data from multiple sources such as ERP, CRM, SaaS platforms, and operational systems
  • Knowledge of data security and access management within Microsoft environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience with version control and development best practices
  • Strong communication skills for working with business stakeholders and leadership

  • Experience building or leading a data platform practice, team, or Center of Excellence from the ground up or through a significant growth phase.
  • Track record of end-to-end platform ownership: from architecture design through scaled adoption, including driving self-service BI adoption across non-technical business users.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
