About the Role:
The Data Capture Specialist I is responsible for conducting safe, accurate, and efficient inspections of wind turbine components—primarily blades—using wheeled crawlers, along Zeitview’s proprietary payloads and software. Candidates must be capable of working independently in remote environments as a high travel employee, and be committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. As an entry-level data capture position, this employee will start their career focusing on a specific data capture product, either internal blade inspections via a crawler, then branch out to a variety of other products and verticals after establishing competency on the product originally hired for.

Responsibilities:

  •  Field Data Collection
    • Conduct crawler-based inspections of wind turbine blades and other infrastructure in accordance with safety protocols and SOPs. Complete image and data capture missions with a high degree of precision and minimal defects. Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot remote-controlled equipment in varied field conditions. Meet data capture performance expectations to include rate of capture completion, data management, quality of imagery, safety performance metrics, and project communication. Conduct training of new Data Capture Specialists or Contractors based on employee’s proficiency

  • Safety & Compliance
    • Maintain high safety standards during all operations in alignment with industry best practices, company policy, and regulatory requirements. Comply with and maintain applicable product specific certifications and qualifications such as: FAA Part 107, GWO, LOTO, Confined Space, etc. 

  • Operational Support
    • Assist in forecasting equipment needs and planning site logistics in coordination with Operations Coordinators. Maintain and update mission status using internal tools to ensure visibility for stakeholders. Communicate effectively with local site contacts to understand project requirements and constraints. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience with wind turbine inspections and complex data capture techniques
  • Global Wind Organization training certifications or willing to complete courses for them.   
  • Includes 75%-100% domestic travel in support of operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while also meeting rigid deadlines. 
  • The ability to adapt to different working environments is essential.
  • Experience with implementing and managing client Scope of Work (SOW) objectives.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and individuals and come to a consensus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs easily. 
  • Be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Be willing to work at heights 
  • Able to work in outside environments year-round.
