Cybersecurity Sales Hunter

Cybersecurity Software Startup

Washington, DC • Remote

Contractor

This job post has expired today. Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

United States (Remote)  ·  1099 Independent Contractor  ·  Commission Only  ·  Uncapped Earnings

This is a hunting role. If you need leads handed to you, this isn’t it.

About the Opportunity

We are a cybersecurity startup with patented technology that solves a problem every enterprise network faces and most haven’t solved. We are actively closing deals and need salespeople who can do the same.

We offer commission only with uncapped earning potential. We are not looking for people who need a salary while they figure it out. We are looking for closers who see commission-only as an opportunity, not a risk — because they know their network, know how to work it, and know how to close.

If that describes you, read on.

What You Will Be Doing

You will own your pipeline from first contact to closed deal. That means prospecting from your existing network, qualifying ruthlessly, running discovery and demo calls, and closing. We will train you on the product and give you full access to our executive team and technical resources to support deals in motion. The rest is on you.

This is not a role for someone who wants to manage a team or wait for marketing to generate inbound leads. This is a role for someone who has spent years building relationships in cybersecurity and is ready to put them to work.

Responsibilities

•     Prospect and qualify leads from your existing network.

•     Run customer discovery and product demonstration calls.

•     Manage and nurture pipeline to close.

•     Close deals independently with executive and technical support available.

•     Report pipeline activity and results on a regular cadence.

What We Are Looking For

An established book of business in cybersecurity.

You should be able to name the prospects you plan to call in your first 30 days. Government, financial services, and healthcare are markets we are actively pursuing, but we will back any candidate who has genuine relationships and a credible path to closing.

A track record of closing, not just selling.

We want to see deals closed, not pipeline built. If your proudest accomplishment is a CRM full of opportunities, this isn’t the right fit.

Comfort with a technical sale.

Our product is sophisticated. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you need to be able to hold a credible conversation with a CISO or security architect and know when to bring in technical support.

Prior experience selling software at an early-stage startup.

You understand that the process, the collateral, and the support infrastructure are not finished. You build as you go.

Self-directed and self-motivated.

You will set your own schedule, manage your own pipeline, and report results. We do not micromanage closers.

Additional requirements:

•     US-based with full authorization to work as an independent contractor.

•     Excellent written and spoken English.

•     Strong cybersecurity knowledge.

What We Offer

•     Uncapped commission on every deal you close.

•     Full product training and access to executive and technical support for deals in motion.

•     A genuinely differentiated product with strong third-party validation, including R&D backing from a U.S. national laboratory and quantum-proof certification from a U.S. Government Lab.

•     As you demonstrate results, the opportunity to convert to a full-time position with base salary and equity.

•     A remote-first environment. Live and work where you want.

Note on company identity:

We do not reveal the company name at the initial application stage. Qualified candidates will receive details before any interview.
