Job description

Location: Samoset Resort

Market / Parameters: All Association Groups 10+

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining accounts in Delphi and CI
  • Manages time working between outside calls, at the hotels, and the Northeast Sales Office.
  • Experience with proactive initiatives comprising solicitations, cold calls, site visits, outside calls, appointments.  
  • Log all activities (including proactive initiatives and maintenance activities) in Delphi and CITY.
  • Submit weekly activity report and weekly schedule every Friday afternoon
  • Complete action plans for annual sales plan (generally due in September of each year)
  • Visits the top accounts on a quarterly basis
  • Ensures business booked is within hotel parameters
  • Processes all business correspondence within acceptable time limits as outlined in company SOPs. Creates proposals, contracts and other related booking documentation as required.
  • Effectively uses sales resources and administrative/support staff.
  • Attend community activities (i.e. CVB, Chamber events) as needed.
  • Attend regional/national tradeshows as needed
  • Sales Manager needs to be proactive and aggressive and have a good understanding of feeder markets and competitor hotels.
  • Cross sells to other hotels in the OP portfolio when appropriate
  • Help organize sales blitzes or other special events.
  • Handle a large book of repeat business
  • Attend weekly meetings:
    • Roundtable:
    • Samoset
    • Sales strategy meetings as needed
    • Appropriate weekly sales meetings

  • Delphi & CI/TY
  • Opera (basics)
  • Third party RFP sources including Cvent.com,  HPN
  • Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)
  • Sertifi
