Lead an Exceptional Dining Experience

Are you a passionate culinary leader with a talent for creating exceptional food and hospitality experiences?

Maplewood Senior Living is seeking an experienced Culinary Services Director to lead our culinary and dining operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who can balance exceptional food quality, outstanding service, team leadership, and strong financial management.

As the Culinary Services Director, you will play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences for our residents while leading and developing a high-performing culinary services team.

What You'll Do
  • Lead all culinary and dining room operations.
  • Create and plan engaging weekly menus.
  • Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Manage departmental budgets, food costs, supplies, and labor.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and lead culinary and dining associates.
  • Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Monitor inventory, vendor ordering, and food storage.
  • Conduct routine safety and sanitation inspections.
  • Partner with community leadership to continuously enhance the resident dining experience.
  • Support community events, marketing programs, and sales visits.
What We're Looking For
  • 3–5 years of food service, culinary, or hospitality management experience.
  • Culinary Arts degree preferred.
  • Previous experience leading and developing a team.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, dining service, and food safety standards.
  • Experience managing food costs, labor, inventory, and departmental budgets.
  • ServSafe Certification required or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A passion for hospitality and serving seniors.
