Summary: The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will provide strong leadership in the development of the company's technology strategy and roadmap. Responsible for the delivery of cutting-edge, innovative products and systems, the CTO will drive the engineering and development processes efficiently to produce scalable, sustainable, and high-quality technology products and solutions that elevate customer satisfaction and operational excellence. The CTO will ensure that technical resources meet the company's short and long-term needs. We're seeking a leader with demonstrated operational experience and results to develop the organization capabilities and on-time execution of our key engineering programs.
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Salary range: $220,000 to $270,000, depending on experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the definition of the company's technological roadmap with clear execution strategies and plans that support the company's current growth objectives
  • Drive KPIs across the organization to ensure on-time, on-budget and on-quality products and solutions are developed and launched in the marketplace
  • Lead the research and development (R&D) of new products and technologies to drive on-time delivery, cost compliance to budget, and competitive advantage
  • Collaborate with the Nice North America CEO, the Nice Group CTO and other senior leadership to align the technology strategy with business goals
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the technology teams and constantly explores cost-effective ways to improve the execution of engineering activities
  • Direct the technology team's operational management, ensuring efficient decision-making and project execution
  • Cultivate a high-performing, agile software development organization through leadership and talent development effectively leveraging internal and external resources
  • Ensure that all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards and company policies
  • Manage the technology budget to assist in the company's financial planning
  • Serve as the primary technology advisor to the company, participating in decision-making at the highest level
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum of 10 years of managerial experience with a technical bachelor's degree or 8 years with a master's degree
  • Previous experience working in industries within or adjacent to the Nice portfolio
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to set project priorities, establish department/discipline goals and objectives for self and staff
  • Computer literacy required, including proficient skills in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and eager to succeed

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Lead, develop and mentor a team
  • Interview, select, and train employees
  • Conduct performance evaluations

Budgetary Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures, and cash management) to ensure all operations are within budget
  • Presenting annual budgets to leadership team
  • Make budgetary suggestions and execute cost-saving initiatives
  • Meet budget submission deadlines
