Creative Consultant II (592) - Xavier Element
DESCRIPTION
Xavier Element Creative Consultants will work closely with Xavier faculty and staff. We are seeking a talented and creative college student to join our team as a Creative Student Consultant (Level II). As part of this role, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning graphics, illustrations, and marketing materials using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, and other relevant design tools. Xavier Element works with various clients both internally and externally. Your main objective will be to develop marketing efforts for clients through engaging visual content that effectively communicates their brand message and attracts their target audience. Hours vary by project. Projects are available during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
This position will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in graphic design and digital media marketing. It offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills, build a strong portfolio, and contribute to real-world marketing campaigns. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Graphic Design Creation: Collaborate with your Student Consultant marketing team to design eye-catching graphics for social media, email campaigns, websites, and other digital platforms. Utilize your artistic skills and understanding of design principles to craft visually appealing and brand-aligned materials.

  • Content Creation: Develop original and compelling graphics for various marketing initiatives, including banners, infographics, posters, social media posts, and more. Ensure that all designs are consistent with the company's branding guidelines and resonate with our target audience.

  • Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop Expertise: Leverage your proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to manipulate images, create vector illustrations, and edit photos with precision and creativity.

  • Canva Graphic Development: Utilize Canva to quickly produce high-quality graphics and marketing collateral for social media, blog posts, and other promotional materials.

  • Organized Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and delivery of all assigned tasks. Stay organized and maintain a well-structured workflow to meet deadlines and maintain productivity. Consistently update the Content Calendar for each assigned client in a timely manner.

  • Brand Consistency: Ensure that all created graphics align with the company's visual identity and branding guidelines. Maintain consistency in color schemes, typography, and overall design aesthetics.

  • Stay Updated with Design Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and techniques. Apply new ideas to enhance the visual appeal and effectiveness of marketing materials.

  • Hours: Working 5-8 hours per week per client; up to 10 hours when necessary

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Currently enrolled in Graphic Design, Digital Media, DIFT, Advertising or related majors

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Canva for graphic design and image manipulation.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing previous graphic design work and digital media marketing projects.

  • Excellent artistic and creative abilities, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.

  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and target audience segmentation.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective design requirements is a plus.
