Job description

Job Overview:

The Creative Writer is responsible for researching and producing creative educational and informational content, including hands on reviews, new product announcements, buying guides and tips & solutions.  Additionally, The Creative Writer will produce content for associated email marketing and vendor campaigns. They are also responsible for pitching new story ideas and concepts to the team leads, for approval by the Content Manager.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive research on assigned products through hands-on interaction
  • References professional, vendor, blog and other relevant sources to gain necessary product information
  • Composes professional, expertly written articles with various links to the product and other related resources
  • Highlights specialized customer benefits and professional perspectives for specific/specialized applications
  • Formats written material in adherence to company content standards 
  • Enhances customer’s online experience through interaction and responses to comments and feedback
  • Off-site travel for location specific shoots
  • Project Management (concept, initiation and deliverables of final product) on projects as assigned by the team leads or Content Manager

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of assigned product category
  • Creative writing skills and ability to create a personable aura in writing
  • Research skills and ability to learn new technologies
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and to work under pressure
  • Detail oriented and organizational skills

Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:
