About this opportunity:
Cenovus is seeking a Materials Management Advisor for our Toledo refinery. This role is responsible for supporting the Materials Management team as lead by the Materials Management Lead at the Toledo location. The group is responsible for MRP activities, material control processes, including maintaining proper stocking levels, performing robust inventory reviews, data integrity, optimizing inventory, executing reports, plus providing and capturing value for the site organization and Company. The objective of this position will be to support material control strategies that uphold organizational business goals.

What you'll do:
  • Support warehouse technicians with daily operations, logistics, quality control/assurance and preservation activities.
  • Support local material management activities including material requirement planning (MRP), cycle counting, obsolete/surplus material management, repairs/refurbishments, and reporting.
  • Maintain data integrity through continual review and updating of material and vendor data.
  • Support internal Business Partners (Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Reliability, etc.).
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the business unit and regional personnel regarding material management data and processes.
  • Primary liaison between Materials Management and Maintenance to coordinate material requirements with Maintenance planning and execution, expedite priority orders as required, and manage stranded materials deposition.

Who you are:
  • Legally authorized to work in the US.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience, including experience in warehouse operations or materials management related role.
  • Knowledge of Material Management practices, with a technical aptitude of oil refining specific materials.
  • Experienced in Maximo.
