Job description

Sub-Zero Group, Inc., a distributor of high-end luxury appliances seeks a Sous Chef for our Houston, TX showroom. The Sous Chef supports the Corporate Chef by assisting with food preparation, cooking demonstrations, menu development, ordering, and overall kitchen operations. This role ensures a smooth, efficient, and well-organized kitchen environment while delivering an exceptional culinary experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present food for events and demonstrations
  • Assist with menu planning and development
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, including post-event cleanup
  • Supervise kitchen operations in the Chef’s absence
  • Support consumer cooking demonstrations and culinary events
  • Manage ingredient ordering and inventory control
  • Uphold food safety and sanitation standards

Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong cooking and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend events
