Overview


Tanaq Government Services (TGS) provides aircraft wash and corrosion control services to the USAF and facilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services to Federal customers. TGS is a subsidiary of the St. George Tanaq Corporation, an Alaskan Native Corporation (ANC) committed to serving Federal customers while also giving back to the Tanaq native community and shareholders.


About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Contract Site Manager to supervise aircraft (c-5 & C-17) providing washing and corrosion control services at Dover Air Force Base, DE.


The Contract Site Manager will be required to be available to be contacted 24/7 (including weekends, after hours, and holidays, as needed) and will be responsible for ensuring services are accomplished in accordance with the Performance Work Statement.


This is a full-time fully onsite position at Dover AFB, Delaware. This position is contingent upon contract award.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as TGS Contract Site Manager responsible for the scheduling and supervision of a dedicated team of aircraft wash & corrosion control services personnel at Dover AFB. Aircraft types requiring wash and corrosion control services include large C-5 and C-17 military transport aircraft on a 24/7 on-call basis.
  • Supervise aircraft towing, washing operations, corrosion control in accordance with USAF technical orders, lubrication, and limited aircraft maintenance.
  • Coordinate with USAF personnel to schedule aircraft wash and corrosion control activities.
  • Establish and implement crew work schedules to meet contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to provide materials, equipment, and support services (as required) to sustain operations.
  • Serve as TGS Point of Contact on site to communicate and coordinate support services with the USAF Contract Officer Representative (COR).
  • Develop and submit reports and contract deliverables to the COR as required.
  • Coordinate employee training to comply with USAF contractual requirements and certification requirements.
  • Oversee compliance with USAF security requirements for all TGS personnel.
  • Work with TGS corporate safety to implement onsite safety training and oversight to assure employee safety.
  • Work collaboratively with the USAF and TGS corporate office to assure compliance with Federal, State, and Local environmental regulations including hazardous waste management.
  • Maintain up to date Technical Data I compliance with contractual and USAF requirements.
  • Participate in a variety of meetings with customers, staff, and other stakeholders regularly.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:


Required Experience and Skills

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years’ aircraft maintenance experience, FAA A&P or equivalent documented Military maintenance training preferred.
  • Previous experience and demonstrated working knowledge of heavy aircraft ground handling and aircraft scheduled maintenance.
  • Aircraft washing and Corrosion Control Servicing experience preferred.
  • Prior management experience supervising aircraft maintenance and/or servicing operations.
  • Experience managing safety and quality control programs.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check.
  • Abide by the Federal Drug-Free workplace policy.
  • Must be able to pass background check requirements as set by clients.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Must be able to be on call, available and reachable to be contacted 24/7, including weekends, after hours, and holidays, as needed.

Education and Training

  • High School Diploma or GED (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required)
