Job description

Job Summary / Responsibilities:

We are looking for a highly capable Salesforce Administrator & Sales Operations Analyst to join WeldFit’s Commercial team in a role that combines CRM platform administration with sales analytics and reporting.  This position is split approximately 50/50 between managing and improving the Salesforce platform and delivering the data, dashboards, and operational insight that drive sales performance.

On the administration side, responsibilities include user and security management, system configuration and automation, data integrity, training, and ongoing platform enhancement.  On the analytics side, responsibilities include building reports and dashboards, supporting forecast and pipeline analysis, tracking sales performance against targets, and providing the leadership team with the data needed to drive informed decisions.

To ensure success, the candidate must combine working knowledge of Salesforce system administration with strong analytical and reporting skills.  The candidate should be comfortable liaising with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and IT, enjoy learning new business processes in order to translate them into technical and reporting solutions, and be proficient in tools such as Excel and Power BI in addition to Salesforce.

Responsibility

  • Ensure optimal performance and uptime of the Salesforce platform and connected applications.
  • Manage Salesforce users, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and groups; provision and deactivate access as needed.
  • Configure custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and automation using Flow, Process Builder, and Lightning components.
  • Import, cleanse, and maintain CRM data including leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities; perform routine data integrity audits and duplicate management.
  • Evaluate and deploy new Salesforce releases and enhancements; partner with third-party vendors or consultants as needed for system integrations and special projects.
  • Provide ongoing user support, troubleshooting, and training; develop training materials and conduct sessions to enhance user proficiency.
  • Document system configurations, processes, error logs, and changes to support audit, training, and continuity needs.
  • Track and report actual sales performance against targets, quotas, and key metrics at the rep, team, and regional levels.
  • Build and maintain Salesforce reports, dashboards, and Power BI visualizations that enable Sales leadership to monitor performance and drive decisions.
  • Conduct pipeline, forecast, and opportunity analysis; track pipeline creation, velocity, and closure rates and build insight into forecast predictability.
  • Create and distribute weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting packs (forecast, key deals, pipeline, win/loss, account performance) to regional managers and leadership.
  • Help inspect the weekly forecast and partner with Account Managers to continuously improve Salesforce data hygiene and adoption.
  • Produce ad hoc analyses as requested (competitor analysis, target account penetration, market trends) and support monthly and quarterly sales planning.
  • Maintain documentation for core sales processes (forecasting, pipeline management, key deals) and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and efficiency.

Required Skills:

  • A proactive attitude toward platform enhancements and process improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insight.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience training end users and creating training materials and process documentation.
  • Working understanding of Salesforce sharing and security (roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules).
  • Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes including Flow, Process Builder, custom fields, page layouts, record types, custom objects, dashboards, and reports.

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for continued personal and professional development
  • Familiarity with B2B sales processes, forecasting methodologies, and data modeling.

Qualifications and Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator (current or willing to obtain within first six months).
  • 1-4 years of combined experience as a Salesforce administrator and/or in a sales operations, business analyst, or data analyst role.
  • Experience administering and maintaining a Salesforce Sales Cloud environment.
  • Experience evaluating, testing, and deploying Salesforce releases and configuration changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain CRM data integrity, perform data imports, and execute regular database maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud capabilities, declarative automation tools, and reporting/dashboard functionality.
  • Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards in Salesforce and Power BI.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas); experience with data analysis and modeling.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities across two functional areas.
