Health Information Management Specialist (RHIT / RHIA)

(Official Title: Data Analyst MRT)
Location: Shelton, Washington
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
100% Onsite Role — Not Remote or Hybrid

At Telecare, we believe data drives better care. As a Data Analyst MRT, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of clinical and medical records that directly support improved outcomes for individuals receiving behavioral health services.

This role goes beyond data entry—you will serve as the bridge between clinical care, compliance, and reporting, ensuring our programs meet regulatory standards while continuously improving care delivery.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee and maintain electronic health records (EHR), including Avatar and related systems
  • Oversee paper charts as well. Records are both paper and electronic. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of demographics, diagnoses, billing, and service data
  • Run and analyze reports to support program performance and payer requirements
  • Audit medical records for completeness, compliance, and accuracy
  • Partner with program leadership and payer representatives to ensure regulatory adherence
  • Monitor and track compliance with HIPAA, PHI, and healthcare documentation standards
  • Use outcomes data to drive program improvement and support positive member outcomes
  • Support audits, trainings, and reporting requirements tied to county/state contracts
What You Bring

Required:

  • 1+ year of experience with EHR systems or healthcare data management
  • 1+ year of database or reporting experience
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI, and healthcare documentation standards
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 and DSM coding systems
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively across teams
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks, health screenings, and credential verification

Preferred:

  • RHIT or RHIA certification (AHIMA) strongly preferred
  • Experience in behavioral health, inpatient, or outpatient healthcare settings
  • Experience with Avatar, Caminar, or similar systems
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Compensation
  • Starting Range: $22.97-$28.38/hour
  • Full Range: Up to $33.80/hour
  • Pay is based on experience and geographic considerations
