We're looking for the best and brightest to take our company to the next level.
Due to growth, it has created a need for a Maintenance Planner. The position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and improve overall operational efficiency. This role works closely with maintenance technicians, production teams, and management to ensure maintenance tasks are properly prioritized, documented, and executed safely and effectively.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, organize, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and facility systems.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance work orders, labor requirements, tools, parts, and materials needed for repairs and projects.
  • Prioritize maintenance activities based on production needs, equipment criticality, and safety requirements.
  • Review maintenance requests and create detailed job plans and instructions for technicians.
  • Maintain accurate records within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Track equipment history, downtime trends, and maintenance performance metrics.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure availability of spare parts and supplies.
  • Monitor completion of work orders and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding repairs.
  • Assist in developing predictive and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies, GMPs, SQF standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Generate reports related to maintenance performance, downtime, labor utilization, and PM compliance.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3-5 years of maintenance planning, maintenance supervision, or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Experience using CMMS software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment drawings.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance best practices.
  • Familiarity with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to analyze maintenance data and identify trends.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Experience with packaging equipment preferred.
