Ancora Memory Support at Mount Alverna Village is hiring a Resident Care Assistant (RCA) who will be assisting the needs of our residents through a person-centered approach.ย  Our mission is to celebrate life and serve with joy and that is exactly what we do when it comes to meeting the needs of our residents.

Ancora Memory Support at Mount Alverna Village, a part of Franciscan Ministries,ย is a vibrant senior living community in Parma, Ohio.ย  At Ancora, we are at the forefront of providing specialized, person-centered dementia care.ย  This Assisted Living community itself was designed to impact the overall well-being and quality of life for residents.ย  It provides maximum comfort, functionality and safety within a reduced-stressย  environment while offering sensory stimulation.ย  Ancora Memory Support is 0part of Mount Alverna Village, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), offering a variety of senior lifestyle options including independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing/long-term care.ย  Additionally, the onsite rehabilitation clinic offers inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies, and state-of-the-art programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents and patients in the local community.

We are currently looking for Resident Care Assistant's (RCA's) to join our growing team!

Position Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the residents with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and social and spiritual pursuits to the best of their abilities while promoting their dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, choice, and rights.

Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities

  • Assist the residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and medication reminders.
  • Identify residents' physical and cognitive changes, making appropriate follow-up decisions, documentation, and communication to appropriate associates.
  • Assist the residents with leisure time programming, including escorting them to and from activities.
  • Assist with dining services and general housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.

Position Requirements

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Licenses/Certifications: N/A

Experience: 1-2+ years of caregiving experience preferred

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to show compassion and empathy toward residents and associates
