Continuing Care Dispensary Pharmacist
London Drugs means many things to many people.  As a London Drugs Continuing Care Dispensary pharmacist, it means providing indirect patient care in a team-oriented work environment involving clinical pharmacists, regulated pharmacy technicians, assistants, doctors and nurses. A continuing-care focused dispensary that fosters professional excellence in a team setting divergent from conventional retail dispensaries. Pharmacy technicians and state-of-the-art technology are used to relieve pharmacists from routine tasks and allow them to concentrate on practicing pharmacy. You will be given the tools and opportunity to practice your profession in a well-equipped pharmacy with regular pharmacist over-lap, which helps optimize patient care.
Resident care is paramount. All pharmacists are committed to maintaining professionalism and innovative resident care services.
You have a desire to actively engage in therapeutic evaluation of prescriptions, monitoring patient profiles/electronic charts, clinical services support as per Alberta Pharmacy Services Framework and overseeing compounding and unit-dose packaging activities.   You are interested in disease management and compliance programs as well as being involved with seminars, workshops and clinics.  If you are looking for a challenging position in our long term care pharmacy division and have the professionalism, commitment to excellence and drive to join our team of exceptional pharmacists, London Drugs is the place for you.

Shifts for a Continuing Care (Nursing Home)-dedicated pharmacist are Monday to Friday. For all positions, we offer work/life balance with minimal late evening and weekend shifts.
The successful candidate will have the following: 
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy 
  • License to practice Pharmacy in Canada. 
  • Registered with Alberta College of Pharmacists
  • Willing to participate in continued education to upgrade his/her knowledge. 
  • Good communication skills and excellent customer and staff relations. 
  • Ability to work as a team player and have a team approach. 
  • Ability to work quickly, multi-task and work well under pressure 
  • A high level of professionalism, energy and enthusiasm. 
  • Strong computer skills.
