Job description

Opportunity to work with an industry leader providing major appliances for multi-family construction projects. Looking for an ambitious, results-oriented, experienced Sales Representative who can take our 100% woman owned/minority owned multi-state company to the next level. This position offers a competitive compensation structure.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain partnerships and relationships with customers and other key players in the industry.
  • Follow up and call all existing bids to determine and influence decision makers.
  • Coordinate with the estimating department within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely fashion.
  • Work with leadership regarding all aspects of the company's sales with an emphasis on long-term goals, growth, profit, and return on investment.
  • Build business sales and manage growth with existing and prospective customers.
  • Seek out and build relationships with general contractors to support the growth of the company. This includes identifying potential builders, creating and delivering compelling pitches, negotiating terms of the contract, and managing ongoing relationships to ensure continued support.
  • Work with leadership to envision and implement new product development and launch, driving innovation and creativity, and ensuring the final product meets customer expectations and is of high quality.
  • Manage and meet company sales benchmarks toward its primary goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proven track record of success in construction sales.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry and subcontracting processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, and presentation skills. Superlative communication skills.
  • Must be able to develop a deep understanding of the company's products and services, as well as the needs of its customers.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Proven experience as a construction sales representative in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong management skills, with the ability to work independently.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience:
  • Extensive sales experience in a construction environment.
  • Knowledge of appliance sales for the multi-family housing market.
  • Education may vary; a bachelor's degree in business is preferred, but not required.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation for this role is flexible and can be tailored to the candidates. Candidates may choose between a base salary, a combination of salary plus commission, or a straight commission structure. Additionally, there is an opportunity to revisit and adjust your compensation structure after demonstrating success in the role over the first few months. Benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; PTO and performance-based bonuses.
