Compounder- 2nd shift
We are searching for an experienced Compounder- 2nd shift at our Hamilton facility.
Position Summary
This position supports the Adhesive Coating Operations with producing the adhesive for the coaters and the operation of adhesive machines and related auxiliary equipment to make and apply various adhesives to Tyvek, paper, foil, film, etc., by performing duties listed below.
Primary Responsibilities
โ€ข Produce adhesive for coaters according to customers' specifications.
โ€ข Perform all necessary line clearance and cleaning operations.
โ€ข Maintain and complete all necessary paperwork for identification and traceability for each lot of adhesive manufactured.
โ€ข Maintain and perform inventory transactions as required via computer systems to ensure accurate records.
โ€ข Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance duties on all machines, tanks and work area to maintain a neat and orderly environment.
โ€ข Set up and operate adhesive auxiliary machines according to customers' specifications.
โ€ข Make various adhesives according to the specific ingredients in each recipe, as required by customers' specifications.
โ€ข Accurately record daily production information for each batch processed.
โ€ข Perform and Record results of all adhesive batch quality test parametes
โ€ข Performing setup and cleaning of filter press
โ€ข Monitor and adjust pH for plant waste treatment system. Record all results for local and gov't requirements
Basic Qualifications
Education
โ€ข High school diploma or GED required
โ€ข 3+ years of solid work experience running industrial equipment preferred.
โ€ข Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
โ€ข Competency to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
โ€ข Ability and desire to cross-train on a variety of equipment including slitters, rewinders, and adhesive manufacturing machines.
โ€ข Possess an aptitude for basic computer operations.
โ€ข Abilility to troubleshoot equipment
