Compounder II

Position Overview

Compounder II reports to the Compounding Supervisor and is responsible for preparing batches according to manufacturing instructions and established procedures. The compounder must be able to operate mixing vessels, pumps, valves, and filtration equipment in a safe and effective manner to deliver a high-quality product. Completion of compliance documentation and mixing instructions is required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Produce batches per mixing instructions
  • Must be able to understand safety hazards and identify them
  • Partner with the team to assure production goals are met
  • Keep a clean and safe work environment.
  • Be able to operate mixing equipment effectively
  • Connect and disconnect pumps and hoses
  • Enter data into SAP system
  • Take samples and submit to the lab
  • Run some in-process checks with lab equipment
  • Follow SOP and Work Instructions for practical application in regulated environment.
  • Verify raw materials weighed and help accomplish weigh tasks as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must have previous experience in compounding in manufacturing
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Strong organizational, record-keeping and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions and procedures
  • 2 to 5 years' experience required, or similar work experience
  • Flexible to work different shifts to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to sit, walk, and move around for several hours.
