Job description

Job Title: Business Intelligence Intern
OUR WHY:At All-Star Sports Academy (ASSA) we deliver impact through our mission - "Inspiring and mentoring young athletes to become successful individuals - one game, one lesson, and one player at a time."
All-Star Sports Academy Business Intelligence Intern will have a passion for taking raw numbers and turning them into meaningful insights for a sports business in a period of growth. You will have a natural eye for detail, an interest in the data that feeds the finance department and decisions, and an appetite for understanding how technology can be used to enhance workflows, improve quality, and expand coverage. This internship is designed for students who are available to work throughout the academic and calendar year. This role will report to the CFO at All-Star Sports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work side by side with the finance department to assist in ongoing reporting and projects.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and provide ongoing reports and dashboards.
• Communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making or storytelling.
• Assist in data entry throughout multiple systems.
• Support with competitive research needs.
• Respond to internal data inquiries by pulling data from databases.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Preference for individuals enrolled in a program related to finance, business, or similar.
• Critical thinking and data driven.
• Some knowledge of experience using data analytics tools and/or applications.
• A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new priorities as they come.
• Team-oriented.
