Job description

Summary

As a member of the enterprise strategy team and reporting to the enterprise strategy director, the Enterprise Strategy Analyst will work with key senior leaders to help define the future of CHS by working on high impact enterprise and business strategy projects. This role will support all aspects of strategy development through activities like competitive and market research, project management, financial modeling, presentation development and other ad-hoc analyses. Additionally, the strategy analyst will play a key role in supporting the annual strategy planning process and subsequently monitoring strategy execution. This role will have a critical impact across the company, ensuring timely, professional support and thought leadership for business, functional and enterprise-level strategies.

The successful candidate will apply a core strategy skill set of analytical problem solving and structured and systems thinking in the design and development of various strategies. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of big picture thinking and ability to go deep into analysis and research.

Responsibilities
  • Work with leaders to develop strategic growth plans
  • Lead strategic planning sessions with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Incorporate best-in-practice planning methodologies including using market assessment, consumer insights and competitive research.
  • Participate in capital financial planning & prioritization process as part of strategic planning efforts.
  • Provide oversight and management for the most complex, urgent, and impactful strategic initiatives. Lead others from ambiguity to decision-making.
  • Align processes, resources-planning and department goals with overall strategy. Ability to meet tight timelines, quickly adjust priorities and maintain high quality.
  • Assess strategic performance to stated goals and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • May direct the work of more junior team members.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
  • 4+ years of experience in strategy, finance, business management or related field
  • Experience collaborating with other stakeholders to achieve goals ranging from individual contributors to senior leaders
  • Track record of leading portions of projects and analysis to completion on a deadline
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Exceptional analytical skills for key strategy activities like market research, analytical model development and competitive intelligence 
    Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Experience creating professional presentations and materials for a variety of audiences
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Comfort working across multiple businesses and functions simultaneously
  • Mindset of continual learning and growth to advance, and challenge, existing ways of working
  • Comfortable interfacing with senior leaders in a professional setting
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex business problems
  • Superior organization and planning skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple projects to completion with deadlines
  • Strong research and investigative skills 
Additional Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field.
  • Experience in management consulting, food, agriculture or energy industry
  • Collaboration, accountability, advanced critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillls

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
