What Does a Compensation Analyst Do?
A compensation analyst works in Human Resources focusing on the analysis of employee salaries and benefits to ensure both are fair. The compensation analyst looks at each role and performs an analysis of similar positions both inside and outside of the company to determine the amount of pay a candidate should receive for their work. They provide the figures to upper management to budget for a new employee or plan their financial goals for the year. Their duties include meeting federal guidelines for worker’s compensation, building pay structures for their employer, and reviewing existing salaries.

- Partner with HR and business leaders to provide data-driven recommendations aligned to organizational strategy.
- Support scaling initiatives through compensation structure design and program enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls; maintain plan documents, SOPs, and supporting documentation.
- Serve as primary point of contact for compensation design matters and collaborate with HQ TRD teams on cross-functional initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members and ensure effective knowledge transfer to compensation delivery teams.
- Leverage analytics and AI tools to enhance reporting, insights, and operational efficiency.

- 7+ years of progressive compensation experience including program design, benchmarking, survey participation, and implementation.
- Strong understanding of compensation governance, compliance, and audit frameworks.

- Strong quantitative, statistical, and analytical capabilities.
- Experience with HCM systems (PeopleSoft preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across levels and functions.
- Flexibility to support business needs in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications

- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, reach, bend, and carry light objects.
- May require occasional travel to company sites or other meetings that involve walking through office, industrial or construction environments
Work Location:
