Job description

Based in New York, NY, we are a growing full-service law firm with over 60 experienced attorneys known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results. The firm is expanding and seeking an experienced Civil and Commercial Litigation Attorney to join a regionally-acclaimed litigation team handling sophisticated commercial and real estate litigation matters. This role is ideal for a seasoned litigator who values courtroom work trial experience and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to civil and commercial litigation matters including real estate disputes
  • Draft pleadings motions briefs and related litigation documents with accuracy and efficiency
  • Represent clients in hearings depositions mediations trials and other commercial litigation proceedings with direct trial and motion practice experience
  • Manage an assigned caseload independently while collaborating with senior attorneys on complex or high-exposure matters


Qualifications

  • JD from an ABA-approved law school with an active New York license in good standing and currently handling NY cases (New Jersey Bar admission a plus)
  • 3+ years of civil and commercial litigation experience (New York real estate litigation experience a plus)
  • Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
  • Proficiency with Lexis Westlaw Microsoft Office Suite and electronic document platforms preferred
