Construction Project Manager โ€“ Lead High-Impact Commercial Builds from Preconstruction to Closeout

Job Overview

  • Company: Pro Commercial.

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $80,000 โ€“ $110,000 per year plus performance and year-end bonuses.

  • Location: Huxley, IA.

  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday.

  • Project Scope: General Construction (Commercial).

  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License.

The Opportunity You will serve as a high-stakes leader with the authority to drive the successful delivery of diverse commercial construction projects. This role empowers you to manage field teams and subcontractors while working directly with ownership-level leadership to enforce elite standards. You will have the autonomy to make decisive site-level decisions within a company that values organized systems and personal accountability.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Direct all aspects of project delivery including scheduling, budgeting, and field coordination to ensure peak efficiency.

  • Lead project meetings to provide clear, actionable communication to field staff, clients, and internal stakeholders.

  • Delegate complex tasks to Project Engineers and Coordinators to maintain strict project timelines and quality benchmarks.

  • Execute project plans in strict accordance with blueprints, company protocols, and specific client requirements.

  • Manage client expectations proactively by resolving real-time logistical issues and technical hurdles on-site.

  • Document all company and owner-related progress reports thoroughly to maintain project transparency and financial accuracy.

  • Support procurement and bid generation processes to ensure project costs remain within established budgetary constraints.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience specifically within commercial construction project management.

  • Proven proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed construction plans, specifications, and architectural drawings.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills necessary for managing team dynamics and complex project documentation.

  • Absolute ability to reliably commute to the Huxley, IA office or relocate prior to the start date.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Over 5 years of demonstrated experience managing large-scale commercial, institutional, or remodel projects.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management or a related technical field.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized construction software such as UDA.

  • Experience in mentorship or training junior project staff in a high-pressure field environment.
