Description

The Commercial Coordinator provides administrative, technical, and project coordination support to the Director of Sales and the commercial organization. This position serves as the primary internal resource for coordinating commercial activities, maintaining sales data and reporting, supporting estimating and engineering functions as needed, and ensuring customer opportunities move efficiently from inquiry through production launch.

The Commercial Coordinator is not responsible for managing sales personnel, engineering, or estimating. Instead, this role supports those functions by improving communication, organization, reporting, and execution across departments. The key objective is to ensure proper flow across each department during the on-boarding process.   


Commercial Administration

? Maintain Salesforce CRM and ensure data accuracy and timely updates.

? Prepare weekly and monthly sales dashboards and KPI reports.

? Assist with sales forecasting and pipeline reporting.

? Organize commercial documentation and customer files.

? Track action items and follow up on internal deliverables.

RFQ & Estimating Coordination

? Receive and organize incoming RFQs.

? Prepare RFQ packages for estimating and engineering review.

? Track quotation status and due dates.

? Maintain quote logs and reporting metrics.

? Coordinate communication between Sales, Estimating, and Engineering during the quotation process.

Engineering Support (Bonus)

? Ensure proper CAD drawing revisions and updates.

? Maintain drawing files and revision history.

? Prepare customer drawing packages and technical documentation.

? Provide technical administrative support during periods of increased engineering workload.

Commercial Project Coordination

? Coordinate new customer onboarding activities and ensure timely flow to meet agreed-to timelines.

? Track sample requests, qualification projects, and production launches.

? Monitor commercial project timelines and communicate status updates.

? Support cross-functional coordination between Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Estimating, and Operations.

Executive Support

? Prepare executive reports, presentations, and commercial summaries.

? Compile market research and competitive information.

? Assist in developing quarterly business reviews and strategic presentations.


Requirements

Qualifications

Required

? Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

? Strong organizational and project coordination/management skills.

? Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.

? Experience with ERP and/or CRM systems.

? Ability to read technical drawings and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred

? Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

? Manufacturing or industrial experience.

? Exposure to estimating, engineering support, or project coordination.

? Experience in the aluminum extrusion or metals industry is a plus.

Position Purpose

? The Commercial Coordinator exists to improve the efficiency and execution of Wolverine's commercial organization by providing internal coordination, administrative support, technical assistance, and project management. By assuming these responsibilities, the Director of Sales can devote more time to strategic customer development, revenue growth, pricing strategy, and commercial leadership while ensuring the commercial organization continues to operate efficiently and support the company's long-term growth objectives.

? One of the key functions is to provide a bridge between the commercial and production teams to ensure the timely flow of orders and development onboarding of new products.
