Sports & Imports Autos is seeking a motivated, professional, and results-driven Collections Specialist to join our growing team. If you enjoy helping customers, solving problems, negotiating payment solutions, and working in a fast-paced environment where your performance is rewarded, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
  • Contact customers regarding past due vehicle payments by phone, text, email, and other approved methods.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
  • Document every customer interaction thoroughly in our dealership management system.
  • Follow established collection policies and procedures while complying with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor payment promises and follow up to ensure commitments are met.
  • Work with customers experiencing financial hardship to identify appropriate solutions.
  • Coordinate with repossession vendors when necessary.
  • Skip trace customers using available resources when contact information changes.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly collection performance goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while protecting company assets.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of first-party collections experience is required. (Automotive finance, Buy Here Pay Here, credit union, bank, or consumer lending experience strongly preferred.)
    Buy Here Pay Here (BHPH) collections experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn dealership software quickly.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and goal-oriented.
  • Professional phone etiquette.
