Job description

Job Summary
The CME Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Medical Staff Office Director in facilitating and supporting the operations of CME activities and programs. The incumbent acts as a resource for CME activities and ACCME accreditation for internal and external departments.
The CME Coordinator monitors CME activities for compliance with ACCME accreditation criteria. The incumbent assists in the coordination of meetings and CME activities. Performs administrative duties as requested.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assists the Director in the assessment of educational needs. Coordinates CME Committee Meetings and CME activities.
  • Develops, updates, distributes and maintains promotional announcements, written materials, and forms for CME.
  • Acts as a faculty liaison for CME.
  • Monitor all activities for compliance with ACCME accreditation criteria and Standards for Commercial Support.
  • Assists in the evaluation of CME activities and overall program.
  • Maintains knowledge of accreditation policies and guidelines by attending regular workshops/meetings sponsored by the ACCME, the ACME, RIMS, and other organizations dedicated to improving the quality of CME.
  • Provides administrative management of the CME program. Preserves and protects employee and patient rights to confidentiality. Performs other duties are required or requested.

Requirements
  • Associate's Degree Required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Minimum 3 to 5 Years
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and possess good time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with staff, physicians, and other clinicians in a courteous manner.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Detail and solution-oriented and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
  • Able to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
