Job description

CME Group is looking for a year round intern to work as part of the Exchange Connectivity & Hosting Operations team supporting the onboarding and ongoing management of customers at our data center facility in Aurora, IL. The ideal candidates are working on degrees in Information Technology and/or Engineering.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provides customer support weekday evenings and weekends to provide secure access for visitors of the data center
  • Accurately record Start and Stop times for billing and staffing needs
  • Assist Remote Hands engineers in supporting Customer work requests in the data center
  • Identify and report issues related to policies and procedures in the data center
  • Perform monthly statistical reporting of space and power usage metrics
  • Complete projects and update documentation as needed

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in degree programs related to Information Technology, Engineering Sciences, Business or Finance
  • Strong communications and customer support skills required
  • Google Workspace and Smartsheet experience are a bonus

Other Requirements:

  • Candidate must have their own transportation to Aurora by car
  • Candidate must have a flexible schedule as all hours are weekday evenings and Saturday day shift. Available 15-20 hours a week
  • Local to Aurora/ Chicago area
