As a Client Onboarding Specialist within PNC's Private Bank organization, you will be based in Phoenix, AZ.
The Client Onboarding Associate (COA) is a trusted partner to the PNC Private Bank and Service teams. The COA, together with the Advisors, Service Partners and other PNC Private Bank team members, will help our clients achieve and maintain financial success. The COA partners with the team will help to ensure that our Investment Management, IRA, other Non-Trust Accounts and all deposit account types are originated and documented in accordance with the governing instrument, state law, and PNC policies, procedures and processes.
The COA will provide end to end onboarding coverage beginning with account opening, through account funding and other onboarding activities to ensure consistent execution and positive client experiences.
This role reports directly to the Client Onboarding Manager.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, handling:
Account Opening for deposit and investment management products
Initiating, Tracking, and Validating Account Funding & Asset Transfer
Fully Onboarding Clients to PNC Private Bank including online set up (pnc.com and Portfolio view), client welcome engagement, service team introduction, etc.

  • Implements new products and services for clients. Reviews requirements and gathers deliverables to complete the client onboarding, account opening, and asset funding requirements.
  • Provides sales or consultative support to prospects or clients in select deals. Utilizes data provided digitally by clients, from internal partners, and/or internal applications to establish or update client-specific information for relevant products or services. Coordinates and produces relevant onboarding packages for validation and system processing.
  • Analyzes, assesses and documents adherence to established requirements, processes, and procedures throughout end-to-end experience. Collects and checks required AML/KYC client documentation for onboarding process and ongoing refresh. Communicates status updates in accordance to client and partner expectations throughout the onboarding process.
  • Advises clients or internal partners on additional information needs, required document clarifications, or other onboarding requirements. Helps resolve challenges regarding onboarding issues raised by clients or internal partners and escalates issues as necessary to senior leadership.
  • Identify/develop necessary solutions. Ensures positive ongoing client experiences. Manages multiple onboarding requests simultaneously across many products or services; reports progress relative to service level performance. Build relationships with key internal partners.
