Position Summary
The Client Onboarding Analyst supports the Transaction Tax Compliance team by executing new client onboarding activities, analyzing and preparing client data, and ensuring seamless integration into DMA's compliance systems. This role plays a critical part in establishing the foundation for long-term client success by creating accurate data models, documenting processes, and coordinating with both clients and internal teams. The Implementation Analyst ensures that each implementation meets quality standards and sets clients up for efficient, automated compliance processing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex client source data and develop structured data models for import into DMA's compliance systems.
  • Interpret and document compliance requirements, including tax credits, amended returns, renewals, notice handling expectations, funding procedures, and reporting schedules.
  • Create clear, client-specific process documentation that outlines compliance workflows, data expectations, and operational procedures.
  • Set up new client profiles in all internal systems used for return preparation, ensuring accurate configurations and system readiness.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout onboarding, providing updates, gathering required information, and ensuring a positive client experience.
  • Manage the transition of clients from onboarding into production, coordinating with internal teams for a seamless handoff.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to ensure accurate compliance processing.
  • Process recurring client data feeds into DMA's tax software systems, ensuring data integrity and identifying anomalies.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with online filing activities and back-end reporting as needed.
  • Provide support to the Production team during peak filing periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience with DMA or in a similar implementation, compliance, or data-focused position.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data cleansing; macros preferred).
  • Experience with data modeling or data transformation tools preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn Transaction Tax concepts and compliance software systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position does not qualify for employment-based sponsorship.

  • Work Schedule: Regular, 40 hours/week
  • Travel: Less than 10%
  • Physical Activity:
