Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients through sales missions, networking events, industry conferences, client entertainment, trade shows, and business development activities.
  • Act as the primary sales contact for entertainment, production, media, fashion, sports, and corporate transient accounts.
  • Negotiate rate agreements and contracts that maximize profitability while maintaining competitive market positioning.
  • Grasp a complete understanding of the New York City business travel and entertainment markets, including key demand generators, competitive intelligence, market trends, and industry developments.
  • Partner closely with Revenue Management to develop strategic pricing initiatives and optimize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR performance.
  • Conduct ongoing account performance reviews and production analysis to identify growth opportunities and ensure account productivity.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Guest Experience, and Front Office teams to ensure seamless delivery of exceptional guest experiences.
  • Champion the Company's service and relationship strategy, driving guest satisfaction, client retention, and long-term loyalty.
  • Prepare and present weekly sales reports, production forecasts, account updates, and business development activity summaries.
  • Maintain accurate account information, pipeline management, and sales activity tracking within CRM systems.
  • Communicate regularly with hotel leadership regarding market conditions, business trends, opportunities, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
  • Represent the hotel at local and national industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and association meetings.
  • Travel regularly within key feeder markets to cultivate relationships and generate new business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of the New York City corporate, entertainment, media, sports, fashion, and production markets.
  • Established relationships with corporate travel buyers, travel management companies, entertainment executives, production companies, agency representatives, and key industry contacts.
