Director of Sales Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 2 days/week in-office) About the Company: Our client is a fast-growing advertising technology company specializing in Connected TV (CTV) solutions, known for a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture that balances high performance with work-life balance. Job Description: Our client is seeking a Director of Sales to join their team, based in Chicago. This role will work to understand the company's CTV offering and present products to prospective clients, developing strong client relationships and partnerships to generate sales. The role is responsible for an individual book of business within the Chicago/Midwest region and will strive to meet and exceed revenue expectations. This position reports to the VP of Sales, West/Midwest. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and cultivate leads through the entire sales cycle (from qualifying to negotiating and closing)
  • Present the company's CTV offering and unique value proposition to advertisers and agencies
  • Learn and develop new, creative sales techniques and strategies
  • Act as a communications liaison between clients and internal teams
  • Meet quarterly sales targets according to the sales plan
  • Participate in sales meetings and communicate market feedback to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with account management to deliver RFPs and campaign deliverables
  • Combine new business development and relationship management skills
  • Attend local industry events and plan regular client entertainment
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for long-term revenue growth
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in media sales with CTV, mobile, managed service, and programmatic experience
  • Extensive knowledge of CTV marketing, including programmatic
  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, or a related Business field preferred
  • Established relationships with Chicago-based agency holding companies and independent agencies strongly preferred
  • A creative and self-sufficient problem solver with a "get it done, no matter what" mentality
  • A hunter mentality, with a drive to crack and grow business; an outgoing, personable style suited to active client-facing work
  • Demonstrated ability to perform against quota and excel in a highly competitive market
  • Able to think strategically and translate strategy into effective tactics
  • Skilled at creating partnerships, with a talent for consultative selling and the ability to "push back" gracefully
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both in person and over the phone
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, and appreciation of deadlines and goals
Compensation: $150,000-$160,000 base salary, with 2x OTE 3639475
