EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 80,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated part time Case Manager Aide/Drug Screener!
  • Wage: $25 per hour
  • Schedule: 23 Hours per week - Monday/Tuesday/Friday 9:30-1:00, Wednesday/Thursday 9:30-5:00
  • Location: 101 County Seat Drive in Mineola

Primary Purpose of Job:
The Case Manager Aide/Drug Screener is responsible for collecting urine and/or oral drug specimens from individuals, as well as assisting the treatment team in all aspects of operations of the program.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct drug testing (oral and/or urine) on any family court involved participants as requested by the Family Court Judges.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is completed for each drug test obtained.
  • Process instant drug tests and/or prepare specimens for transport to the laboratory for testing via courier service.
  • Maintain a chain of custody with all drug tests.
  • Conduct follow-up with the lab in order to obtain accurate results in a timely manner.
  • Input all toxicology results and any other participants contact into the NYS Unified Court System program.
  • Obtain appropriate HIPAA releases prior to collecting specimens in order to collaborate with attorneys and other involved parties.
  • Assist treatment team in acting as liaison between the court and any treatment providers.
  • Perform all other relevant duties as determined by Supervision and EAC NETWORK Administration.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
  • Previous experience in drug testing preferred.
  • Must be comfortable handling urine specimens as an essential job function.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work collection environment, in compliance with industry protocols
  • Communicate in a professional, customer service-oriented manner with participants
