BrightStar care is looking or reliable caregivers to join our team in a on call position as we grow our clientele in the Rochester area, with opportunity or more hours in the future. This role offers around 10 hours per week and is ideal for someone interested in adding to their current schedule or gradually returning to care giving. Responsibilities may include helping with daily routines, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and offering companionship.   • Premium Short Shift Pay: We offer a variety of shift Lengths ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours. Our 1-hour shifts get paid at $30 per hour and hour 2-hour shifts get paid at $22.50 an hour. Any shift 3 hours or longer is paid at a base rate between $19-$22 based on experience.
 
Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide companionship and conversation to enhance the lives of our clients.
  • Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
  • Provide physical assistance such as bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
  • Accompany clients to appointments or social outings, providing transportation as needed.
  • Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, and needs.
  • Act as a member of the Care coordination team to communication with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care. 
Requirements:
  • A compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience providing care to clients in a hands-on environment (Home Health, Assisted Living, Group Home, Hospital Setting) 
  • Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license with Auto Insurance.
  • Negative TB test or Cleared Chest-Xray.
  • Availability to work 2 weekend days per month.
