Job description

Strategic Risk Solutions Inc. (SRS), the world's largest independent insurance company manager, is growing and seeking an accounting professional to join our US East Captive Management servicing team, based in our Charleston, SC Office.
As our Junior Accountant (Assistant Account Manager I), you will provide accurate and timely accounting support for captive insurance clients.Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Manage payables activities including approvals and transaction setup.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for cash and investment accounts.
  • Track premiums earned and losses incurred.
  • Prepare and track invoices; process payments and deposits.
  • Assist preparation of journal entries and regulatory reports.
  • Assist preparation of premium, income, and excise tax returns.
Attributes and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA a plus.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • 0-1 years accounting experience; captive experience a plus.
  • Basic accounting knowledge.
  • Intermediate Excel and accounting software skills.
  • Strong attention to detail; developing communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.
