What you can expect as a Scheduler/Capacity Planner at West Star:
The Scheduler/Capacity Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining the master schedule for aircraft projects. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure optimal utilization of resources and alignment with customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a deep understanding of Corporate Aviation operations.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
  • Under minimal supervision supports sales in the Request for Schedule for available capacity and slots. Work with the Operations teams as needed to adjust or define any constraints.
  • Maintain the master schedule for all aircraft projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, production teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Support operations meetings as required to communicate scheduling constraints and/or gaps.
  • Analyze current and forecasted workloads to determine capacity requirements.
  • Identify and address potential bottlenecks and resource constraints.
  • Analyze scheduling data for variability, cohesiveness, and adequacy. Maintain the integrity of all schedule data.
  • Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in project scope, priorities, and resource availability.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheduling and capacity planning.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling efficiency and accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to bring with you:
Your Education:
Technical Certification or Bachelors degree in Business or related curriculum; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job functions.
Your Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in Corporate Aviation Scheduling.
Demand/Capacity planning experience in aviation is preferred.
Excellent understanding and proficient use of Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word for Windows.
Knowledge of Corridor is preferred but not required.
Proficient use of other scheduling programs, spreadsheets, word processors, and databases.
Demonstrated analytical skills and problem resolution skills.
Ability to address and resolve issues pertaining to what if scenario development.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills required.
Must be able to communicate well with various levels of employees and management

The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The salary range for this position generally ranges between $70k-$85k. Actual rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, as well as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), paid holidays and vacation time.
