Capacity Management Specialist

As aCapacity Management Specialist, you'll interact with this team daily, contributing to shared goals and learning from one another. You'll also engage regularly withoperational leadersand spend part of your time in meetings withclinical staff, including clinic managers, clinic supervisors, and physician leaders. This cross-functional collaboration is key to driving meaningful improvements in patient access and scheduling efficiency.

The Capacity Management Specialist provides master scheduling, guided scheduling, and schedule optimization support at the system level to providers. Responsible for improving performance on Appointment Lag and Appointment Utilization while completing Master, Template, Daily, and Guided Schedule builds. Fulfills schedule requests quickly and accurately, consistently seeking opportunities to utilize best practice strategies and techniques to all schedules. Provides providers with proactive guidance around schedule changes and design. Actively monitors key metrics and data at system and specialty level, critically thinks through interventions, engages with department leadership to hardwire improvements. Successfully serves as an Ambassador for Patient Access when meeting with section representatives to discuss and implement schedule changes.

Required Qualifications: Capacity Management Specialist
Minimum of two years' experience in healthcare required.
Associate's degree in health care, business, finance, nursing or related field
or equivalent combination of education/experience combined (one year of education equals on year of experience) required.
Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills required.
Demonstrate leadership qualities required.
Preferred Qualifications: Capacity Management Specialist
Patient access or managing provider scheduling templates preferred.
Bachelor's degree in health care, business, finance, nursing or related field preferred.
Completion of EPIC cadence training modules preferred.
Completion of EPIC cadence training modules preferred.
Demonstrate analytical, organizational and leadership skills preferred.
Demonstrate knowledge in hospital system applications preferred.
