Job description

ICF seeks a highly qualified candidate to serve as the Capacity Development Manager to work on a national technical assistance project. The Capacity Development Manager is responsible for developing training, opportunities, and materials to support the development of legal services practitioners. The work includes the development of products and tools to support all facets of the legal work with a primary audience of legal service professionals.
The successful candidate will have broad knowledge of project management, instructional design, communities of practice and training/technical assistance provision and support the vision of legal services training and technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Capacity Development Managerresponsibilities include:

Set the vision for all capacity development for the network of partners and legal service providers

Provide oversight and guidance to the team of instructional designers, content developers, community of practice specialists, Writers, editors, and subject matter experts.

Leadand implement strategies related to legal services training and technicalassistance, including a comprehensive training plan. Ensure alllearning anddevelopmentdeliverables are on time and of high quality.

Assure application of the latest innovations inadult learning theoriesand AIto create engaging and interactive learning materials.

Support cross-team effortstoidentifyknowledge gaps and training and technicalassistanceneeds.

Ensure that all staff orientation training materials are current and designed to best support the learning needs of incoming staff.

Oversee product development related to legal services training and technicalassistance.

Coordinate all work with SMEs and partners in delivering training and technicalassistanceservices.

Work with the Communication Lead to develop all strategies related to the broad internal and external communication needs of the project.

Engage with the technology team to support the intersection of training efforts and the Learningplatforms.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA with 7+years experienceorMasterswith 4+years experiencemanaging a task or service area including personnel and deliverables in a project or contractenvironment

  • A minimum of3years demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder and partner relationships, including balancing multiple perspectives/needs, for capacity building projects.

  • A minimum of3yearsexperienceworking with national training and technicalassistanceto develop the capacity ofparticular subjectmatter area or profession

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in project management, andinstructional design

  • Education and/or experience in the application of race equity, diversity, and inclusion of social justice strategies in human service settings.

  • Experience working for a refugee program.

  • The ability to Obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
