Position Summary

This Engineering role identifies and resolves production constraints. A static primary focus for this role is to model where we have insufficient capacity to our monthly delivery/output plans and volume. They then work with Fab Engineering & Production leadership to resolve such production constraints. This specific position is planned to have a specific focus on Investment planning and investment strategy, driving investment strategies with Line Planning to ensure optimal investment allocation to maximize profit and utilization for the foreseeable future. A current primary focus for this role is to coordinate the 17nm Investment Ramp up, this entails determining which tools can be removed from the factory as well as how many investment tools should be purchased to support planned volume. A significant portion of this initiative is to manage capacity improvement projects to help resolve shortages or provide additional capacity on constraining processes. A key target for this team is to maximize and increase output capability for the Factory to exceed what we are invested for and increasing ROI and profit margins from our current baseline. Cost savings support and coordination has become a significant focal point for this role over the past 2+ years. Coordinating the soft idle dedication of processing tools, determining the optimal amount of tools needed to remain online to support our monthly volume delivery success and DPML targets.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Perform regular analysis on factory bottlenecks for long term and short-term basis

  • Find actions to close capacity gaps and drive those actions to completion Regularly perform line analysis and supply chain forecasting and be able to pinpoint bottleneck areas and take actions to help improve line movement and line balance

  • Regularly perform bottleneck investigations utilizing existing productions plans, tool performance metrics, and existing capacity projects and create summaries of problem areas

  • Coordinate with manufacturing and engineering groups to make output improvements using available scheduling systems as well as analyze data to show the benefit of any action taken

  • Work with engineering teams to improve daily operations and optimize tool performance

  • Perform equipment efficiency analysis and take action to make improvements

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and other related Engineering or Applied Mathematics Major will be considered

  • 9+ years' experience in Capacity Planning, Data Analytics, Project Management, Production Strategy or Manufacturing Engineering

  • Proficient in Factory Physics methodologies & supply chain management

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data modeling and forecasting techniques 5. Knowledgeable in Python, SQL, or other scripting languages for data analytics and automation is preferred

The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
