Job Title: Logistics Planner

Location: Woodstock, AL

Position Summary:


The Logistics Planner role serves as a central coordination point for operational execution within the business unit, ensuring alignment across warehouse operations, material flow, and customer service requirements. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating logistics activities, validating operational execution, supporting resource allocation, and driving performance against defined service level agreements.


This role applies Schnellecke Logistics' core operational standards, technologies, and continuous improvement methodologies to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety. Acting as a key liaison between operations leadership and the customer, the Logistics Planner ensures that material flow, inventory movement, and logistics plans are executed effectively to support production and delivery commitments.


What you'll do:

Execute company values, mission, strategy, and operational standards to support business objectives 

Develop, monitor, and adjust logistics plans to support production schedules and customer demand 

Coordinate material flow, inventory movement, and warehouse activities to ensure operational efficiency 

Align manpower, equipment, and resources with logistics requirements and volume fluctuations 

Validate workflows and logistics processes to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards 

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material flow and reduce inefficiencies 

Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, safety policies, and workload requirements 

Communicate logistics performance, risks, and updates to operations leadership and client stakeholders 

Support budget planning and monitor resource utilization within assigned areas 

Promote and enforce a safe work environment and adherence to all safety procedures 

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Shift Manager

Requirements

 Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required 

Experience in logistics planning, supply chain coordination, or warehouse operations preferred 

Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills 

Proficiency in data entry and basic computer systems 

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 

Must be able to pass a criminal background check 

Must be able to pass a drug screening 


Work Environment:

Combination of plant floor and office environment 

Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, equipment, and varying environmental conditions 

Exposure to moderate to high noise levels within operational areas 

Requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods 

Bending, reaching, and physical movement may be required 

Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times on the shop floor
