Job description

Middle Bay Transportation is looking for an Intermodal Dispatcher for our Charleston, South Carolina terminal. If you're interested in working with the industry's leader and have a commitment to success through safety, personal empowerment and collaboration, this is the place for you.
Purpose and Scope:
Work with terminal team to provide service to customers from the initial orders to the completion of the deliveries.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
-Coordinate and schedule loads.
-Communicate daily with drivers on schedules for pick-ups and deliveries.
-Prioritize loads for the most efficient and cost effective solution for customers.
-Track shipments for customers.
-Resolve issues with pick-ups and deliveries.ย 
-Inform and stay in constant communication with Customer Service Rep to resolve issues that may arise.
-Perform other duties as assigned including back-up for other employees.
Qualifications:
-Prior intermodal dispatch experience required.
-Strong decision making and prioritizing skills required.
-Ability to handle multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
-Must have good interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with internal employees / drivers and external customers.
Working Conditions:
Terminal/Office environment; extended working hours may be occasionally necessary.Employment Type: FULL_TIME
