The Vice President, Institutional Product Performance serves as a strategic financial leader for the Institutional Solutions product segment, driving profitable growth through strong business partnerships throughout the enterprise, financial insights, and operational excellence.   The Institutional Solutions segment includes Institutional Annuity products such as Pension Risk Transfer and Structured Settlements, as well as Institutional Investment products such as Funding Agreement Backed Notes, and Stable Value contracts. This executive role provides oversight of financial strategy, budgeting, performance analysis, and regulatory compliance while partnering closely with segment and enterprise leadership to align financial objectives with business priorities and bring transparency to segment financial performance. The VP Institutional Finance plays a critical role in advancing innovative products and value-added solutions, enhancing customer value, and supporting disciplined execution of initiatives that improve operational efficiency and long-term business performance. This is an opportunity for a forward-thinking leader to influence enterprise strategy, shape financial decision-making, and build organizational capability within a dynamic and evolving environment.

This role is hybrid with travel expectations of up to 50% of the time in Omaha, NE.  Relocation assistance is available if interested.

  • Estimated Salary: $176,500 - $260,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead financial strategy, pricing, and performance management for the segment, aligning business objectives with customer needs, market trends, and enterprise goals.
  • Direct segment Finance and Actuarial teams with respect to financial analysis, reporting, and profitability oversight across GAAP, statutory, and value-added measures while ensuring compliance with regulatory and enterprise standards.
  • Collaborate with segment executive team, providing financial leadership for the development and implementation of innovative products, services, and value-added solutions that support growth and competitive advantage.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and operational improvement initiatives to optimize financial results, efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Build strong partnerships with senior leaders and external stakeholders while developing high-performing teams, strengthening talent capabilities, and representing the organization within the industry.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Deep insurance or financial services industry expertise with a strong understanding of products, customer needs, distribution strategies, and evolving market trends.
  • Accomplished financial executive with proven success leading strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, profitability management, and executive-level business insights.
  • Advanced expertise in finance, actuarial science, investments, or related disciplines with the ability to drive data-informed decision making and long-term growth strategies.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and executive influencing skills, with a talent for translating complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
