Business Development Manager

Find the Opportunities, Build the Partnerships, Launch What's Next

Why This Role Matters

Filtrous doesn't grow by accident. It grows because someone identifies the right markets, builds the right partnerships, and ensures new products land with impact. As our Business Development Manager, you'll be that person. You'll analyze competitor landscapes, uncover emerging trends in laboratory automation and consumables, and forge relationships with strategic channel partners. When Filtrous launches a new product, your groundwork is the reason it succeeds. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, sales, and product development—and your decisions will directly shape our growth trajectory.

What You'll Do
  • Drive Strategic Planning and Forecasting: Help develop strategic business plans, define growth goals, and create market penetration timelines. Your analysis will guide where Filtrous invests and how we capture new opportunities before competitors do.
  • Lead Product Launch Efforts: Collaborate with R&D and ideation teams to define new products based on real market needs. Own the planning and launch timeline to ensure new products reach the market on schedule and with maximum impact.
  • Build and Manage Sales Channels: Establish and manage partnerships with distributors and channel partners. Train partners on product features and advantages so they can effectively represent Filtrous in the field. Assist in developing territory expansion plans.
  • Collaborate Across Every Team: Work closely with sales and marketing on promotional campaigns, coordinate with the lab and warehouse on capacity planning, and assist with inventory management and sales flow for new product introductions.
How Success is Measured
  • Deliver strategic business plans with clear market penetration timelines and measurable milestones.
  • Successfully launch new products on schedule with documented market demand validation.
  • Establish and grow channel partnerships that expand Filtrous's market reach and revenue.
  • Maintain up-to-date competitive intelligence that informs pricing, positioning, and product strategy.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on product launches with zero operational disruptions.
Why You'll Love It Here

At Filtrous, you won't be writing strategy decks that collect dust. You'll see your plans become real products, real partnerships, and real revenue. You'll work at the center of a fast-moving company where sales, R&D, and leadership all collaborate closely—and where your market insights directly shape what we build and how we grow. You'll have the autonomy to identify opportunities, the support to execute on them, and the satisfaction of watching your work drive measurable results. As Filtrous expands into new markets and product lines, you'll be leading the charge.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in a Life or Physical Science field.
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in scientific sales and business development, preferably in B2B or laboratory supplies.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Goal-oriented with a track record of successful product launches or equivalent strategic initiatives.
  • Proficient with CRM systems and sales analytics tools, specifically HubSpot.
  • Willing and able to travel as needed.
Bonus points if you have:
  • Experience managing distributor or channel partner relationships.
  • Background in laboratory automation, consumables, or life science product development.
  • Experience with market analysis, competitive intelligence, or go-to-market strategy.

Founded in 2017, Filtrous delivers speed, quality, and value to agile labs. We're a lab supplies distributor serving laboratories across a wide range of scientific and industrial sectors. Our secret? We combine uncompromising product quality with customer service that actually picks up the phone.
