Job description

We are hiring for our client, an innovative company in the health and wellness industry, seeking a Business Development Manager - Branded Ingredients - based in Utah preferably, or on the West Coast. This role focuses on driving new business growth across the dietary supplement, functional food, and wellness sectors. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about building relationships and driving strategic growth.
**This is a remote role based in Utah, preferably, or on the West Coast.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify and engage prospective B2B partners in the supplement, functional food, and wellness space
  • Guide prospects through a consultative sales process to align solutions with their needs
  • Develop and execute strategies to pursue high-potential business opportunities
  • Stay current on industry trends to inform outreach and messaging
  • Manage customer relationships from first contact through onboarding and post-sale support
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Product Development, Supply Chain, and Marketing
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline management in CRM systems
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Gather and relay customer insights to support product innovation and improvement
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the Western US

Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of B2B sales or business development experience selling branded, clinically studied ingredients.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Nutrition/Food Science, or a related field
  • Proven ability to develop and manage long-term customer relationships
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue and growth targets
  • Strong consultative communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to translate technical or scientific information into clear commercial messaging
  • Highly organized with CRM pipeline management experience (Salesforce preferred)
  • Analytical, strategic, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Familiarity with microbiome science, gut health, testing platforms or functional ingredients is a plus!

Compensation: $120,000-150,000 plus commission, full benefits!
