Job description

SmartXEO is a fast-growing product within iWorQ Systems, bringing a new, AI-powered search experience to U.S. municipalities. Our secure, embeddable solution helps residents get clear answers in seconds while reducing the burden on city staff to manage and maintain complex websites. We're building and scaling a modern GovTech platform at the moment when local governments are actively looking to improve digital service delivery. If you're an experienced Account Executive who wants to sell a brand-new product with real public impact and help define how it wins in the market-SmartXEO offers a rare chance to do both.
This role is a great fit if you:
  • Have 2-5+ years closing experience as an Account Executive or similar role in SaaS/technology.
  • Are comfortable owning a full outbound sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demos, proposals, and close.
  • Are excited about selling AI/GovTech into U.S. municipalities and helping shape a new product's go-to-market.
  • Want a clear $60k-$80k OTE, uncapped commissions (40% rate), and an onsite Monday-Friday (7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.) schedule.

What You'll Do
In this role, you'll own a defined territory and full sales cycle, taking Smart XEO from first conversation to signed agreements with city and municipal leaders.
  • Own and manage assigned states or territories across the U.S.
  • Prospect, qualify, and sell directly to local municipalities and public-sector organizations
  • Schedule and lead discovery calls and product demonstrations
  • Convert demonstrations into proposals and closed deals
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using Pipedrive CRM
  • Accurately track activities, KPIs, forecasts, and opportunities
  • Partner with sales leadership on territory strategy and pipeline growth
  • Develop deep expertise in Smart XEO's AI search technology and municipal use cases
  • Mentor, train, and support SDRs where assigned
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quota, contributing to Smart XEO's ARR and new logo growth.

What We're Looking For
  • 2-5+ years in an Account Executive / closing role, ideally in SaaS or software.
  • Experience selling into the public sector (cities, counties, or other government entities) is a strong plus.
  • Strong consultative selling, presentation, and demo skills
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting and managing a full sales cycle
  • CRM experience required (Pipedrive preferred)
  • Organized, self-motivated, and results-driven
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions in clear, simple terms

Schedule
  • Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. | Onsite

Why Smart XEO
  • Sell a mission-driven product that improves resident experience
  • Backed by the stability and reputation of iWorQ Systems
  • Early-stage growth opportunity with room to make an impact
  • Supportive sales leadership and ongoing professional development

Compensation
  • $60,000-$80,000 OTE
  • Uncapped commissions (commission rate: 40%)
  • Performance bonuses for top reps
  • Hourly base pay + commission

Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Telemedicine
  • Life and Accidental insurance
  • Paid maternity and paternity leave (after 12 months)
  • Roth IRA company match contribution
  • Uncapped earning potential
