Job description

TITLE:  Business Development Assistant Manager

 

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Position reports to the Senior Executive Sales Manager. This role is responsible for assisting the maintenance and generation of sales primarily through sales & market analysis, generation of costing, recommendation of pricing to sales management, identification of sales gaps & opportunities, sample preparation and prompt support to customers & sales team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in data analysis and/or sales & customer service support
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to make strategic fact-based decisions
  • Self-motivated to independently progress projects from inception to completion
  • Pro-active in creating and/or using available sales data to identify gaps and opportunities, taking prompt action to notify sales team
  • Comfortable working across departments within organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications – Excel (ability to create simple cell formulas and to navigate pivot tables), PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent verbal (in-person & telephone), written and listening communication skills
  • Able to adapt quickly to evolving priorities in briskly paced environment
  • Positive mindset with a can do attitude towards daily activities showing enthusiasm & strong work ethic
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for preparing detailed price quotations properly analyzing costs, market conditions, competitive environment, historical quotations and other pertinent data
  • Interpret quotation requirements and if needed collect additional details from sales team and/or customers to complete analysis
  • Present pricing proposals to sales leadership for approval and forward price quotations to sales team and/or customers
  • Facilitate online bids
  • Maintain logs and follow up on quotations through completion of sales cycle
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly reports and updates
  • Review sales reports monthly to identify gaps and/or new opportunities and present to sales management
  • Maintain sample files and prepare sample kits & supply packages
  • Create and maintain pipeline reports for new product launches and sales programming
  • Review industry information to identify new trends or competitive activity
  • Compile and forward monthly reports from sale team\
  • Participate in regular marketing meetings and provide follow-up as needed
  • Adhere to Fantapak and Inteplast business practices and philosophies
  • All other duties as directed by management
