Job description

Position Summary: The Business Analyst works with Business Solutions Managers and other stakeholders to understand business needs. This professional leverages new and existing systems and business processes to support process improvements and organizational effectiveness across the bank as well as works with our agile teams to elicit requirements, write user stories, and create wireframes.
Essential Functions:
  • Partner with stakeholders, Business Solutions Managers, and product teams to analyze business needs, evaluate solution options, and support informed decision-making.
  • Leverage existing systems and business processes to provide enhanced business capabilities to current business processes.
  • Gather requirements on newly submitted project requests and support discovery efforts to understand current state through collection and analysis of baseline data.
  • Understand the customer journey to identify opportunities and define user requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between business owners and development team(s).
  • Assess the risks of various solutions and prioritize business demands.
  • Promote consistency and usability standards to define and execute test cases.
  • Support the product owner by helping analyze the business domain, stock the product backlog, and groom the product backlog.
  • Develop low fidelity wireframes to support the iterative design process and facilitate stakeholder feedback.
  • Convey complex and technical issues to diverse audiences and project a credible image in communications and presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process.
  • Provide analytical support to process development and improvement efforts.
  • Perform 3rd party product research, present recommendations to management, and assist with procurement.
  • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training and follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Software, workflow design, and business process improvement and analysis experience preferred.
  • Experience in writing business requirements and user stories that ensure alignment with user expectations.
  • Ability to conduct small and large group presentations and facilitate meetings with large groups of stakeholders.
  • Previous training experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working with Agile teams preferred.
  • Financial industry experience is ideal.
