What is a business owner?

Business owners are individuals or entities who establish, manage, and assume the financial risks of a business. They are responsible for making key decisions about the direction, operations, and growth of the company. Business owners may be sole proprietors, partners, or shareholders in a corporation. Their primary goal is to create value, generate profit, and ensure the long-term sustainability of the business.

What are some common challenges business owners face when managing their team, and how can they address them effectively?

Managing a diverse team requires setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and creating an inclusive culture. Leveraging tools for project management and holding regular meetings can help streamline workflows and address concerns promptly. Building trust and empowering employees to take ownership of their roles also contributes to a more productive and engaged team.

About the Opportunity

As a Business Broker or M&A Advisor, you’ll guide small and midsized business owners through the sale or acquisition of a company. You’ll manage client relationships, buyer activity, negotiations, due diligence, and transaction coordination from listing through closing.
Build a High-Income Career Helping Business Owners Buy and Sell Businesses

Can you sell a free appointment with a business owner or buyer?
Can you earn a business owner’s trust, listen carefully, take good notes, and convince them to sign a listing agreement with no upfront cost?
Can you prepare compelling information about a business, follow up with buyers, arrange meetings, help negotiate offers, and keep a transaction moving toward closing?
If so, you may have what it takes to become a Transworld Business Advisor.
A real estate license is not required to sell businesses in Nebraska or Iowa. Licensed advisors may also earn commissions from related real estate transactions. It’s a great path into commercial real estate for those who already have or may want to get a license.
You’ll have the independence to build your own business with support from an established brokerage network.
What You’ll Do

 • Build relationships with business owners and buyers
 • Secure business listing agreements
 • Market businesses confidentially and professionally
 • Advise clients through sale and acquisition processes
 • Facilitate negotiations and deal structure
 • Coordinate due diligence and closing activities
 • Manage multiple clients, prospects, and transactions
 • Build local referral relationships
Who We’re Looking For

The most important skill is consultative sales ability. You must be able to earn trust, ask good questions, sell appointments, secure signatures, follow up consistently, and help people make major business decisions without high-pressure tactics.
Many advisors come from backgrounds including sales, banking, financial services, commercial real estate, insurance, business ownership, executive leadership, accounting, legal services, and consulting – and from many other backgrounds.
Ideal candidates have strong communication, time-management, networking, and relationship-building skills. They are self-motivated, ethical, comfortable with technology, able to maintain confidentiality, and committed to learning.
Professional Requirements

Relevant professional experience is highly valued. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. A real estate license is not required.

Apply today to build a high-paying career as a Transworld Business Advisor.
