Overview

A Building Automation Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling building automation systems and solutions to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. They work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role involves a combination of technical knowledge, sales skills, and customer relationship management.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify and target potential clients in the commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and institutional sectors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering firms to be the controls provider of choice.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.

Technical Consultation:

  • Understand clients' building automation needs and provide customized solutions.
  • Incorporate energy saving solutions with our delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to design and propose appropriate systems.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits of building automation solutions.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.

Sales Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project details using Sales Force.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and other documentation as required.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and progress towards targets.

Work Environment:

  • This role typically involves a combination of office work and field visits to client sites.
  • Travel may be required to meet with clients and attend industry events or conferences.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a 10 years of job experience.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in building automation or a related industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building automation systems and solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
